· FEELINGS –HOLDING TO A PATTERN – A WAY TO WORK WITH FEELINGS --
Every time you feel the new condition, live it. The more you do it, the easier it will become, until finally it will sink down, even into the subconsciousness (symbolically speaking).
Feelings:
Feelings are a way of imaging happenings. Learn to make a relation between the symbol and life itself. Feelings have their own life and there is therefore no need to be possessive, (Remember that possessiveness is present whenever you are feeling sorry for yourself.) When vou relate non-possessively to the play, then you are free to introduce other values. What use is it to discard a “bad” feeling when you haven’t listened to what the feeling has to say. When vou discard a feeling then the structure has to invent a new symbol, a symbol that you might not like any better. Realize that the symbol is asking that you get into what the feeling is reflecting
You can relate to feelings as a play going on. You don’t need attachment. Be more and more with the play. This ongoing play or movement, deals with the now, and we want to go into the M-function and deal with factual life.
Regarding situations from the past: Remember, we are adults and we have to lace situations as of now -- whatever happened in the past. We cannot erase the past but we can deal with the now. It is not a letting go, it is a change of space, so the handling is different.
Learn to deal with events as a partner.
When You Are Holding to a Pattern:
Ask yourself : — Am I forgetting to bring another space?
— Have I forgotten to bring the three propositions into play?
— Have I brought the new balance (South Pole) into operation?
All this implies a sense of practicality and the ability to act.
Get rid of the atmospheric wall and look at life as Living, then life in every aspect is highly fascinating.
A Way to Work with Feelings :
You begin with a happening. The mind then interprets this happening as a specific feeling. Behind the label given by the mind, there is a perceptive feeling. Behind the perceptive feeling is a feeling that is with the happening and this one has no label. Stay with the sensing of the happening without the interpretation. With immediacy there is no reflection -- it is just immediate. You can use the reflection to steady the outer functioning (as a way of concentrating) but you stay with the life.
Learn to stay with what is happening as it is. Forget all the processing about it. Learn to deal with life without processing it through the parameters of your understanding.
All the functions are infinite. You can live feelings so fine there is a sense of infinity.
